What should I expect ?
Initially, a comprehensive discussion and assessment of your difficulties would be carried out, in order to achieve an understanding of what is affecting you and why, what therapy may help and how many sessions may be required.
Sessions are typically arranged weekly or fortnightly at times to suit you, with regular review of outcomes and progress.
Most people begin to see improvement after the first few sessions, and a duration of therapy between 6 and 20 sessions is typically effective for most of the psychological difficulties seen in our clinics. You are welcome to come along for 2 – 3 sessions to see how you feel about the service, or if you are waiting in the meantime for an NHS appointment.
I am based in Woking, Surrey, UK and also offer the flexibility of virtual sessions conducted via Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype, or phone.

What do the sessions cost, and how do I make payment?
Therapy sessions are for 50 minutes, from £120.00 per session, if self funded. Sessions can be paid for in advance online or by bank transfer.
The fee is £160 for an initial assessment and £120.00 per follow-up session, payable online or BACS, either before the session or on the day.
I also offer a discounted package – 5 sessions for £575 (not including the initial assessment).
Can I claim on private medical Insurance?
Different rates apply if you are using private health insurance, due to the additional administration required.
Most health insurers are accepted such as AXA-PPP, BUPA, Cigna, Simply Health and Aviva.
You will normally need a GP referral and in some cases a psychiatric assessment and referral prior to being able to use your policy for psychological therapy. The health insurance company may also stipulate the maximum number of sessions they are willing to fund, depending on the details of your policy.
If you are using a health insurance policy, they will usually expect a report and regular updates to be sent to either your GP, or the referrer (such as a Psychiatrist). These reports would also be copied directly to you. Please phone or email for further details and discussion about using your health insurance to fund psychological therapy.
Where does the therapy take place?
I see clients from my Knaphill practice in Woking, parking is easily accessible. I normally offer appointments on weekdays between 8.30am to 7.00pm inclusive.
Sessions by Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype and phone are also provided.
